(Un-)Moral in der Sozialen Arbeit. Über die Umsetzung der Professionsmoral im beruflichen Alltag
Abstract
Es ist ein Zeichen der Professionalität der Sozialen Arbeit, dass die sie leitenden Werte und Normen (Professionsmoral) in verschiedenen Ethikkodizes formuliert sind, so auch im von der International Federation of Social Workers und der International Association of Schools of Social Work verfassten Dokument „Statement of Ethical Principles“. Um zu untersuchen, wie ausgewählte Richtlinien und ethische Aspekte im beruflichen Alltag von den Sozialarbeitenden verstanden und umgesetzt werden und was die Umsetzung beeinflusst, wurden in drei aufeinanderfolgenden Studien Sozialarbeitende und ExpertInnen befragt. Dabei zeigte sich, dass die Professionsmoral von den handelnden Personen unterschiedlich interpretiert wird und Verstöße dagegen Bestandteil des beruflichen Alltags sind. Ob es in Bezug auf die Professionsmoral zu einem moralischen oder unmoralischen Ergebnis in der Sozialen Arbeit kommt, hängt von vier Momenten – Wissen, Wollen, Können und Müssen – ab, deren Zusammenhänge in einem Modell skizziert werden. To analyze how selected guidelines and ethical aspects are understood and implemented in professional life and what factors influence this implementation, social workers and experts were interviewed in three consecutive studies. These show that the professional morale is interpreted differently and that violations against it are part of professional life. Four aspects determine if it comes to a moral or immoral result (concerning the professional morale) in social work – knowledge, will, ability and compulsion.
