Abstract
Ein Sender liefert seine Botschaft bei einem Empfänger ab – solch linearer Transfer ist als Metapher für Kommunikation unbrauchbar, sagt die Systemtheorie; und entwirft stattdessen das Bild vom komplexen System-Umwelt-Verhältnis. Der Bildwechsel leuchtet ein, nur: Kommunikation ist nicht alles, was in sozialen Netzwerken geschieht. Die zweite Ebene, die des Transfers, wird in ihrer Bedeutung meist unterschätzt. Soziale Arbeit sollte beide Ebenen in ihrer prinzipiellen Differenz wahrnehmen, um ihre Verschränkung gezielt nutzen zu können.
A sender hands over his message to an addressee: A linear transfer like this is quite unapt as metaphor of communication, system theory asserts – replacing it by the notion of a complex relation between system and environment. The change of imagery is very convincing, but: Communication is only one part of what takes place in social networks. The relevance of another level, the level of transfer, is often underrated. Social work, however, should be aware of both levels and their basic difference – in order to utilize its interconnection.
