Remittances als Tätigkeitsfeld der Internationalen Sozialen Arbeit

Abstract

While the topic of remittances has been explored and discussed to a great extent by economic and political scientists, there has not been a summary of from an international social work perspective. This document provides such a summary, as well as an analysis of how professional social workers can and should intervene on a normative, strategic and operational level. In order to highlight the economic and social relevance of the topic of remittances, recent data from the World Bank Group will be shown beforehand. This article is based on a master thesis, corrected and graded by the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI).
