Abstract
Für die Soziale Arbeit sind theoretische Modelle und Frameworks stets interessant, die die Einbindung von Individuen in soziale und gesellschaftliche Verhältnisse zu erfassen versuchen. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird zunächst aus der sozialarbeiterischen Praxis und ihren handlungsorientierten Fragestellungen ein mehrdimensionales Verständnis der „Situation“ entwickelt. Dann wird eine der Dimensionen, die „Einbindung des Individuums in das Soziale“ weiter aufgeschlüsselt. Vor dem Hintergrund dieser vorangestellten Überlegungen wird der Frage nachgegangen, welche der Konzeptionen von Sozialem Kapital mit Gewinn für Theorie und Methodik der Sozialen Arbeit nutzbar gemacht werden kann – und er bevorzugt die Konzeptualisierung durch Bourdieu.
Frameworks conceptualizing the inclusion of the individual in the social environment or the society are of interest for social work theory as well as social work practice. At first the article tries to establish a multidimensional understanding of the „situation“ in social work. One of the dimensions – the relation of the individual to the social environment – is analyzed. Furthermore Putnam´s and Bourdieu´s concepts of the social capital are discussed, which both address similar aspects, but in a different way. For social work the Bourdieu-concept of social capital as a capital „owned“ by individuals enhances the understanding of some aspects of the relationship between individuals and society and can successfully be implemented in social work theory and social work diagnosis.
