Abstract

Ever since the beginning of the pandemic, psychosocial support systems in schools needed to react with flexibility in adapting their work. During the lockdown, the main goal was maintaining low-threshold communication with different target groups like pupils, parents, and teachers. In this time, using various forms of new media was crucial. While schools were open, all social work methods also needed to adapt according to the permanently changing conditions. When it came to a second lockdown in November, the adjustments were made more easily since it had not come as surprisingly as the first time, and communication methods were already implemented. For those working for the support systems, the crisis certainly was a driver of innovation and changed the attitude towards digital formats and media.
